We are delighted to announce the Group’s latest acquisition and the first of 2008, The Lord Group. The Lord Group is a well established building and maintenance services provider.

This business has its base in Rochdale, near Manchester, giving an excellent geographic fit to the Group’s expansion plan, linking up with the existing Kinetics business in the North West. Founded in 1934, initially as a painting business but has branched out into building and maintenance. The Lord Group has a high quality profile within the Manchester area.

With today’s acquisition, the Kinetics Group will have annual sales of over £110 million and over 1,200 employees. The acquisition both enhances Kinetics’ position in tendering for larger contracts, and extends the Group’s capabilities to undertake work across the UK. At the same time, the traditional role of the Lord Group as a trusted family run business can continue.
