The Lord Group was happy to help the TLM Neighbourhood Centre, at the heart of the community.
Rose McCarton MBE, Centre Manager and Ken Moran, Centre Administrator, were delighted when Lords stepped in to help them in their hour of need. The Turkey Lane & Monsall Neighbourhood Centre, at the heart of the Monsall Estate in Manchester, provides much needed services to the whole community. Their aim is to provide a friendly, warm, safe, and pleasant environment for all members of the community. However, they find it virtually impossible to maintain the building with the limited funding they receive.
Ken explained “it’s becoming more difficult to find the funding we need and we are very grateful for all the help but unfortunately when people do help us they tend to fund an activity rather than help us with the more urgent needs of maintaining the building. Thankfully, Lords stepped in and came to the rescue”.
Rose was very pleased with the new entrance screen and said “Lords have exceeded my expectations, I am absolutely thrilled. They turned up early, fitted the brilliant new doors, cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and helpful. It looks fantastic and is so much more secure and safe, this is wonderful for the centre, I can’t thank you enough for all your help”.
The entrance screen was made by Remploy Building Products division who offer sustainable employment opportunities for people with health conditions and disabilities.
