THE LORD GROUP WERE HAPPY TO SUPPORT BURNAGE TRAINING AND CAREERS INFORMATION DAY
More than 70 youngsters came along to the training and careers event in Burnage which was organised by BMAG (the Burnage Multi Agency Group), Manchester City Council and Connexions Manchester and was supported by Southway Housing Trust and their Construction Partners, The Lord Group, Wates and Bramalls, Skills Solutions, The Armed Forces and The Prince’s Trust also attended as well as The Manchester College who provided a mobile construction unit giving the students the opportunity to try various construction trades including joinery, plumbing and tiling.
The careers fair offered advice and information for students from a number of local schools including ParrsWoodHigh School, Levenshulme High School and Burnage High School, as well as young people who are not currently in education.
As an incentive to complete registration forms and feedback, a £50 HMV voucher was donated by The Lord Group - the lucky winner was Rowan Szklader from ParrsWoodHigh School. |
