Michael Green was thrilled to recieve the award for Northwards Young Citizen of the Year at the recent Northwards AGM.  Michael was presented with his award from Des Smith, Managing Director of Kinetics Partnerships Division.

Michael has helped out in organising fun days, planting days and trips for children on the estate, he tirelessly reports any environmental issues on the estate to environment on call wherever he notices problems helping to keep the estate clean and tidy, including reporting issues on behalf of others on the estate.

Not only is Michael a recycling champion for the Hendham Vale Estate, collecting and storing cans, paper and bottles for the estate to encourage recycling, he is also an active member of the Resident Involvement Forum and has recently become a community guardian.

Michael is a hard worker, always busy, sometimes in the background, and often in the foreground, he is keen to get people in the estate involved in projects and delivers fliers, and door knocks to get community  initiatives going.

Proud of his neighbourhood he has collected information on the history of the estate, and helps to maintain plants in communal areas which improve the look of the estate.  His modesty and "of course I'll help" attitude means that often people don't realise how much work he does for his estate.
