Kinetics Group

The Lord Group was established by Wilfrid Lord in 1934, as a painting company based in his house garage. As the company evolved, it was handed over to Lord’s 17 year old son Philip, who became the Managing Director. Rodger Lord joined the group shortly afterwards, helping his brother to expand the business and take on much larger contracts.

In 1980, the company moved into the building and refurbishment business, spearheaded by Philip Lord’s son Andrew, who now runs the company together with his sister Janet. The two directors are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business, which gets more and more demanding as the company continues to grow.

The company may be changing but some things remain the same, giving The Lord Group its unique character. It remains a family business that cares about its people and invests in their development through training and promotion opportunities.

Looking after your suppliers and your customers is obviously very important for any business but the Lord Group has always recognised that in order to be able to do that, you must first look after your staff.
